Toby began his ministry career teaching youth Sunday school classes and then served as interim Student Minister before being called full time. Toby earned a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University in 2002 and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006 with a Master of Divinity. He was licensed and ordained by Glenwood Baptist Church located near Morris, Alabama in November 2001. He served as Minister of Students and Associate Pastor for 11 years at Glenwood before accepting the call to serve Smoke Rise in 2006.
Toby and his wife Alisha were married in 1995 and have three children, Zachary, Hannah and Ella. The Shedds enjoy the outdoors through camping, fishing, hunting, and canoeing.
Jimmy enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, golf and traveling. He has been a successful business owner and recently sold his interest in the company he joined in 1983. He is active in prison ministry and Teen Challenge as well as sits on the Board of Directors of Teen Challenge. Jimmy has been married to his wife Vickie for 30 plus years and has a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Tommy, both of which he and Vickie are proud of.
Rich was born in 1969 in Pensacola, Florida and grew up in Smokerise, Alabama. Rich has been married to his wife Jennifer since 1993 and they have two children, Hadyn and Skylar. His wife Jennifer serves as the facilitator for the Praise Band and plays the violin. Rich enjoys traveling and camping with Jennifer, Hadyn and Skylar – Auburn everything and time at home.
Henry was born and raised in the mountains of Harlan, KY. He was saved at 15 years of age and called into full-time ministry his senior year of high school. Henry was accepted to serve with Life Action Ministries, a revival ministry after graduating high school. He served as a singer and student revivalist for three years with Life Action. There he met his wife, Kayla, who also served with Life Action as a Children’s Club Teacher. Henry was ordained and licensed in Oct. 2008 and has served as a Student Pastor since 2009 and Music Minister since 2010. Henry and Kayla have been married since July 2006 and have one daughter, Kherington, and one son, Hudson. Henry loves Tennessee football, super hero movies and trying to keep his golf game under 100.
